A
company in Seattle, WA is now offereing to put a QR Code on the
stone. When you scan the code you are directed to a web page
that offers information about the dearly departed. Of course
the web page is going to cost someone perpetually. And when this
technology loses favor or the person paying for the web page
decides to drop the ball, then the code becomes useless.
Personally, I do not see this as
a long term answer to providing more information about the deceased.
We could add a web address on a tribute and accomplish the same
thing, but someone would still have to pay for the page. Long term?
I don't think so.
